Stud News:

Our one and only foal arrived on May 12th - a colt out of Tilliwhille X Dunedin Marksman.  He is a friendly colt, black (to turn grey), compact and well boned.  At present Tilly has gone to stud to be covered by Moss-side McLarenTaransay has also been covered by McLaren but unfortunately we don't have a positive scan.  Ghlinne has replaced Gamhna for breeding as we felt it was time for Gamhna to retire.  Ghlinne and Millgrove Samphire have both been covered by Moss-side Campsie Glen - both of these mares have been scanned positive and we are eagerly awaiting their arrivals.  Tilliwhillie's foal - named Tobermory travelled to Northants in December to Jim Dalton who aims to show him in-hand and ride or drive him in the future.

Showing Report:

We had a quiet winter working with the ponies at home.  Our first outing was to the NPS Spring Show where Ghlinne was 1st in the Native Ridden and 3rd in the Novice WHP.  Teal was 3rd in the Picton Novice and the Native Ridden classes. Following this show, Ghlinne has been retired to stud to replace her dam Gamhna of Carrick.

Teal and Tarskavaig will be shown under saddle this year.  Tula and Lille are heading for the Royal Highland Show along with Tarskavaig.  Hopefully Teanninich will be up and running for very novice ridden classes at the end of the summer.

Trailtrow Grouse, now owned by the Bowlings, has qualified already this year for the Picton Novice, Peasedown Intermediate, and the Royal International Horse Show.  Great result for a five year old.

We were thrilled when Trailtrow Tarf took the qualifier for Olympia at the HPS Breed Show at Strathallan. He is now the fourth of our Trailtrow ponies to take this prestigious honour, joining Rannoch, Rummlegairie (his sire) and full sister Taransay.
